HVAC website design · United States & Canada

HVAC website design built around how homeowners actually choose service.

I design and redesign HVAC websites around the decisions that matter: repair, maintenance, replacement, emergency help and local trust — especially on a phone.

Not every contractor needs a rebuild. The job is to identify the real friction first, preserve what already works, and improve only what is worth improving.

My starting rule

Your HVAC site may not need a rebuild.

I do not recommend replacing a good website just because another layout is possible. I first look at what already works, where customers may hesitate, and whether the improvement is substantial enough to justify the investment.

1
Preserve strengthsExisting trust, useful service depth and recognizable identity stay when they work.
2
Find real frictionCustomer confusion, buried actions, weak mobile contact or a meaningful technical problem.
3
Match the solutionSometimes that means a redesign. Sometimes it means a focused repair.
What I look for

The website should mirror the way a homeowner thinks.

R
Repair vs. maintenance vs. replacementCan a visitor immediately recognize the right next step?
!
Urgent and after-hours helpIs guidance clear without promises the contractor cannot support?

HVAC-specific website priorities

Six things I inspect before proposing a design.

The goal is not to make every contractor website look the same. It is to uncover the specific point where the current website is helping — or losing — the homeowner.

01

Service discovery

Heating, cooling, IAQ, plumbing or other services should be discoverable without turning the homepage into a directory.

02

Emergency clarity

Urgent visitors should know what action to take and what the company actually supports.

03

Replacement intent

Equipment shoppers need a path that feels different from a routine repair request.

04

Local trust

Service areas, business identity, ownership, reviews and proof should make the contractor feel real and local.

05

Mobile action

The website should remain easy to call, navigate and understand when the homeowner is holding a phone in one hand.

06

Useful depth

Maintenance plans, financing, equipment and technical information should be available without burying the main decision.

Selected HVAC website concepts

Real design thinking, clearly labeled.

Unless a card specifically says client work, these are independent concepts created to explore possible solutions for HVAC businesses. They are not claims that the company hired me, approved the concept, or uses the design on its live site.

No pretend client relationships.

Speculative work stays speculative. Genuine commissioned work is labeled separately.

How I work

From current site to a defensible redesign.

The process starts with diagnosis, not decoration.

Inspect the current site

Preserve what already works instead of rebuilding for the sake of rebuilding.

Find the business/customer gap

Service discovery, emergency guidance, replacement intent, proof, mobile contact or another meaningful friction point.

Design around the company

Structure, proof, service mix and calls to action should come from the actual business — not a recycled HVAC template.

Build and validate

Responsive implementation, interaction checks, factual copy discipline and a clear path from concept to production.

No fake case-study numbers.

I do not invent traffic, lead, conversion or revenue results to make a concept look successful. If measured results exist, they should be attributable to real work and real data.

No pretend clients.

An unsolicited concept does not become a client project just because I built it. Speculative examples are identified honestly, and commissioned work is labeled separately.

Want a second opinion on your HVAC website?

If your website is already strong, I will say that. If there is a meaningful opportunity, I can show you what I would change and why.
